Raise Prices = Keep Clients … How?
Many a heart-felt healer or service provider struggle with pricing their services. We often tend to set our prices way too low to begin with, and then, inevitably, need to face the unpleasant issue of raising our prices simply to survive.
Well, I’m here to tell you that raising your prices isn’t just essential for your business success, it can actually bring you better clients!
“But if I raise my prices I won’t get any clients!”
This is a tough one, I know. So please keep the following in mind: As long as you undervalue the services you offer by low-balling your prices, so will your clients. The argument for keeping your prices crazy-low is based on the same wrong-headedness as the “Sliding Scale” Fairy Tale of last week’s post: it’s not up to you to determine what you clients can and can’t afford.
When you recognize and communicate the value you have to offer, your clients will recognize it, too. More than that, when people pay more, they value it more – they invest in their own well-being in a greater way. Isn’t that what we want our clients to do?
Who are you Attracting?
Have you ever considered the possibility that, by keeping your prices absurdly low, you only attract clients who value what you have to offer a little bit?
I know psychics, healers and spiritual mentors who charge a lot for their services. They are no more a “charlatan,” a “huckster” or a “scam artist” than you are. They provide high-quality, transformative value to their clients.
And because they honor what they do by charging what their considerable skills, time and talents are worth, they attract clients who respect, appreciate and value the service they receive. In other words …
Self-respecting healers serve clients who are willing to
invest in themselves and their own well-being.
