How to manifest your desires when what you want is a LONG way from what you’ve got is a very good question. It can be a real challenge to align your vision and energy with something you desire, when the ‘reality’ you have to face every day is drastically different. How do you imagine living in abundance when you’re driving a clunker and your house is drafty, dirty and old? … I know. I’ve been there.

How to Align your Vibration to your Desires

You’ve been exposed to the concept that “everything is energy” and you’ve been told we live in a “vibrational universe”. You’ve been introduced to the Law of Attraction and that to attract what you desire; you need to be in vibrational alignment with your desire. Sure, easy as pie, right? Only, once you begin to analyze the concept of alignment, which we all do, you find yourself asking how does one align their vibration to what they desire? For those of us that have been exposed to Abraham, via Esther and Jerry Hicks and their books or workshops, we’re told to follow our “Internal Guidance System”, our Emotions. Basically, when you feel good, you’re in alignment and when you don’t, you’re not in alignment. So how can you quickly feel good to raise your vibration and get into alignment with your desires when you’re surrounded by negativity? You practice the Attitude of Gratitude.

Why gratitude? Nothing raises your vibration faster than the energy of gratitude. As you find things in your experience to appreciate, you discover more things to appreciate and it continues to snowball. The more you’re thankful, the more you feel good. Abraham refers to this as the Rampage of Appreciation. We consistently beat the drum of the things we don’t like and don’t want in our lives and all we’re doing is holding the negative in our vibration, to which the Law of Attraction obediently reacts and draws to us more negative, whether we want it or not. Why not rant about the good things in our lives? There are good things in our lives no matter what we may currently be experiencing, and if you sit and think about it, you can come up with many things to be thankful for and appreciative of.

You’re assignment is to try this for yourself. Take a few minutes in the morning and evening each day and list all the things you’re thankful for in your life. It can be anything from being grateful to be alive to being thankful for the love of your children and the fact they’re healthy, or being thankful for the ability to put food on your table and keep a roof over your head. The more you think of things to be thankful for, the more things you will find. You may also notice more good experiences throughout your day which will fuel your list of things to be thankful for in the evening. Notice how your mood improves as you list what you’re grateful for in your life. Write it all down if you wish. The more you do this, the better you feel and the better you feel the better your life gets. You may even find yourself walking around with a smile on your face. Imagine that!
