The solution to multiple modalities with too few clients is a balanced business
In last week’s post, I introduced you to the modality monster. In this week’s post, you’re going to find the antidote to this far-too-seductive critter …
Your Monster Solution in a Nutshell
The solution to the problem of too many modalities and not enough clients is to balance out the business elements of your business. In other words, youâve got to give your business (and not just your skill sets) love, energy and yes, money, just the way you give those things to your learning and your professional mastery.
Hereâs how you can tell youâve got the mindset of what I call a âModality Monsterâ: Your business is going nowhere but you are still balking at the idea of investing in a business coach, joining a business mastery program or hiring a webmaster to build your website. (By the way: getting a friend to create your site for free doesnât count! Free isnât an investment, itâs a dependency on someone who will quickly get sick of fixing your problems for nothing.)
If the Modality Monster sounds like you, then youâve got a choice: invest in the business of your business, or continue to struggle.
Or to put it more plainly: If your 2nd, 3rd or 4th modality did not bring you more clients, more consistent clients and more financial stability, what makes you think the next modality is going to do it for you?
Here’s How to Do it …
The healers and coaches who are able to run their business like a business do it like this:
⢠Modality #1 = Primary Skill Set (like: massage therapist, Reiki master, health coach).
⢠Modality #2 = Business Skills
Have you been wrangling with a modality monster? Does this information help or confuse you? Please let me know how this makes you feel in the comments below.
Many blessings,
Dawn
