As holistic business owners we are known to be well in tune with forces working against human kind and undermining the ability to release full potential in life, love and the pursuit of happiness.  In fact, it is our calling to bring our knowledge to the world and heal this brokenness through various disciplines as any reiki master, yogini, energy healers etc.

The astonishing truth is how much we resemble the mainstream health system, doctors in specific.

How so?

Well, you’ve heard that doctors make the worst patients and I bet you know why.  It’s because they know too much or perhaps are surrounded by brokenness all day that they fail to recognize it in themselves.

Holistic business owners are in danger of falling into the same trap.

Today we are going to look at fear and at cash and uncover two common money fears and how you can begin to reprogram your own thinking to break through to financial health, in your business and ultimately in your personal life.

Ironically, only the brave who embark on unraveling the hold of financial fear are ultimately the ones who are released to bring their much needed gift of healing to the world.

1. Spending money on your business

This is a tricky one.  Let’s face it, 99{2dffcae524e448daa5a394de35e8db397573d0ad5ca9273ab673a724f30cb980} of Holistic Business Owners are very well educated in various disciplines concerning healing.  In fact, if not kept in check, The Modality Crisis Loop can be used as a means to AVOID investing in your business.

On the surface this appears to be paradox as we invest in modality after modality, which is obviously an investment in business, right?

True, but you’re vision is wrong.

Let me shift that for you.

Spending money ON your business means releasing yourself as an employee, as the dishwasher, floor-mopper, accountant, logistics manager, general secretary.

And it means embracing the concept of focus.

Focus on your core discipline and bringing that to market and allow others to become your aid.

Simply hiring an accountant to care for your cash flow, for example, releases you one small bit to release your energy where it is needed:  offering your gift to those who need it and no longer being burdened by the math of cash flow.

Same goes for housekeeping in your practice.  Hiring someone to do the laundry, wash the dishes and mop the floors can be done often in less than two hours a week and release you to spend those two hours serving someone so that they can be restored.

Before you invest in your next modality, consider if you would not be doing your business a  greater favor by investing in the mechanics of running your business instead.

2. Charging too much

Here is the beauty of being a Holistic Business Owner:  You are in it because you value people and want to see them heal and reach their greatest potential.

Here is the challenge:  You recognize the pain, stunted growth and frustration your customers have and you want to help as many as possible heal.

Here is the mistake:  You fear they will reject your offer of healing if the price is too high, so you cut your costs and run your business on a small flame.

While there is a chance that you actually could charge ridiculously high fees, the reality is that over and over again in my past 20 years working with Holistic Business Owners, most charge too little.

I want to invite you to consider the following:  Is it your responsibility to give away your hard-earned skills at the expense of your own right to a livelihood?  (Many of your colleagues are doing this as I type these words to you.  I hope this is not you, too.)

Is it your responsibility or obligation to give from a diminishing (and eventually empt) vessel?  (The greatest tragedy in holistic business today is seeing the healers burn out and become ineffective.  You were born for something greater and the world needs your gift!)

Is avoiding the pain of asking for what your services are worth, worth the price of the results you’re guaranteed by under-charging?  (I sincerely hope you see that this is a devilish circle guaranteed to spiral downwards unless you grasp that low prices are undermining your effectiveness and ability to bring your healing power to a world in pain and so needing of your gift.)

An invitation to unlock your prosperity
